This is such a quick and easy recipe – The kids can help you prepare this unfloppable recipe. It’s ideal for the Christmas table’s desert section. Of course, the old “Kook en Geniet” cookbook helped us with this one!!!
125 g margarine
250g dates (chopped into smaller pieces)
¼ cup of sugar
½ packets of Marie biscuits (squashed)

What to do:
1.On the stovetop, over low heat, melt the margarine in a pot.
2.Add the chopped up dates. Cook for about 5 minutes until the dates are melted. Stir constantly.
3.In a separate container, combine the sugar and egg. Mix thoroughly.
4.Add the egg mixture to the dates and margarine mixture.
5.Remove the pot from the stove, and add the crushed biscuits. Stir thoroughly.
6.Let the mixture cool down.
7.Roll the mixture into balls (about teaspoon size) and roll into the coconut.
